Kids actually have two sets of teeth — baby teeth and adult teeth — but sometimes their adult teeth start coming in before the baby teeth fall out. It’s called “shark teeth,” and it’s pretty common!
Baby teeth are smaller than adult teeth, but they are super important — they help kids chew, speak clearly, and make space for the grown-up teeth that come later.
Most babies get their first tooth between 6 and 12 months old, but some babies are even born with a tooth already peeking through! (It’s called a natal tooth.)
Tooth enamel — the outer layer that protects teeth — is the hardest substance in the entire human body. Even harder than bones!
Adults have 32 teeth, but kids only have 20 baby teeth. That means more room in their little mouths for silly giggles and wide grins!
The staff is wonderful and really nice, beautiful location, easily accessible. There is plenty of parking they also have very comfortable waiting room and plenty of things for kids while waiting. The Dr. Is amazing. She works fast and efficient as well as her assisting staff. Overall, it was a great experience, and wiz kids is definitely my family's new dentist.
